Kennel life can be overwhelming, no matter how much love our staff and volunteers provide. Graces on the Go is Saving Grace Rescue LBK’s short-term day outing program that gives our rescue dogs a much-needed break from the shelter while helping them find their forever families.
Whether you have two hours for a morning coffee run or an entire afternoon to relax in a quiet park, checking out a "Grace on the Go" lowers a dog’s stress, lets their true personality shine, and introduces them to the community in a completely new way.
Best of all? You don’t have to adopt to change a life.
Sign Up & Complete Waiver
Fill out our quick online registration form and liability waiver to let us know your experience level and availability. Participants must be at least 21 years old with a valid ID and reliable transportation.
Book Your Time Slot
Reserve a Saturday or Sunday morning (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM) window. We will match you with a pup whose personality fits your experience level. We provide everything you need: an "Adopt Me" harness, leash, collapsible water bowl & waste bags.
Hit the Town & Snap Photos
Enjoy a relaxed walk, visit an approved dog-friendly patio, or just hang out in your living room. Snap a few fun photos or videos to show off how great they are outside the shelter.
Drop Off & Share Feedback
Return your pup and fill out a 2-minute digital report card. Your observations about car manners, leash habits, and energy levels help us find the perfect permanent home for them!

Approved Destinations & Safety Guidelines
To keep our dogs safe and comfortable, we follow a few simple ground rules:
Always on Leash: Dogs must remain securely leashed on standard 4-to-6-foot non-retractable leashes at all times.
Great Places to Go: Paved walking paths (like Buddy Holly Recreation Area), quiet neighborhood walks, dog-friendly coffee shop or restaurant patios, pet supply stores, or relaxing inside your home.
Off-Limits Areas: Off-leash dog parks, crowded festivals, and uncontrolled dog-on-dog interactions are strictly prohibited.
