Their Mission

  • Project Freedom Ride’s mission is to connect unwanted and abandoned dogs in Texas & Georgia with families and rescues in the Northern US & British Columbia. By providing their Texas Rescue Partners with funding, networking, and adoption assistance, Project Freedom Ride is able to help increase the number of lives saved by giving dogs a second chance with families and receiving partners outside of these high kill states.

Since 2016, Project Freedom Ride has saved over 4,000 dogs.

Saving Grace Rescue LBK is proud to be one of three Texas rescues partnering with Project Freedom Ride.

How Does It Work?

  • After viewing the profiles of our dogs available in your area at www.petfinder.com and falling in love with one, complete the application found at https://form.jotform.com/220199338769066. We review completed applications and schedule video interviews in the order in which they are received.

If we arrive at a mutual decision to move forward with the adoption, we will email you a list of items we will need from you in order to finalize the adoption and submit your new dog for a spot on the next transport that is heading your direction. In the meantime, we will keep you updated with weekly pictures and/or videos of your pup!

All directly adopted dogs come vaccinated, microchipped, spayed/neutered, have tested negative for heartworms if 6 mo. or older, have had a negative fecal, and are up-to-date on flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives.

The Project Freedom Ride adoption fee is $500, which includes the transport fee and veterinary costs.
